What is Stevia leaf extract?

Stevia leaf extract is a sugar substitute with zero calories. It comes from the leaf of the stevia plant. It can be used with sugar or other sugar substitutes to give you reduced- or no-sugar alternatives.

Is stevia natural?

Stevia leaf extract comes from the leaf of the stevia plant, which is native to South America. The stevia plant is also grown in Africa, China and the U.S.

It can be used in combination with sugar or other sweeteners to provide people with reduced- or no-sugar alternatives.

There are 4 steps to making Stevia leaf extract.

Step 1: Farm – Grow the stevia plant.

Step 2: Harvest and dry – Once the leaves reach their peak sweetness, harvest and dry them.

Step 3: Extract the sweetener – Just like making tea, soak the dried stevia leaves in water.

Step 4: Filter the extract – Strain the liquid, then follow with drying.
