Why do you use SPLENDA®?
While sugar in moderation is fine, too much sugar isn’t good for anyone. That’s why we make reduced- and no-sugar versions of many of the drinks you love. We want to give you great-tasting choices with fewer or no calories. SPLENDA® helps us do that.
What is SPLENDA® made of? Does SPLENDA® have aspartame?
SPLENDA®, or sucralose, is made from sugar, but the final ingredient is different. It has a sweet taste but without the calories.
It does not contain aspartame. These are two different sugar substitutes.
How many calories does SPLENDA® vs sugar have?
Per teaspoon, SPLENDA® has zero calories while sugar has 16 calories.
Is SPLENDA® bad for you?
No. The sweetener that makes up SPLENDA®, sucralose, has been thoroughly tested in scientific studies and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has confirmed it is safe. The FDA has also set an acceptable daily intake (ADI) level for sucralose. This is how much you can safely have each day. The ADI for sucralose is like a 132 pound adult having 23 tabletop packets every day.
